About the Trail
Founded in 2017, the Northeastern Oregon Arts Trail (NEOAT) is a vibrant collective of art centers in Northeast Oregon that actively promotes awareness of the rich and diverse art scene that the region offers.
This initiative aims to showcase the unique artistic talents and cultural experiences available to both travelers and residents. By highlighting local artists and their work, the collective endeavors to enrich the community, attract visitors, and foster a deeper appreciation for the arts within Northeast Oregon. Additionally, the collective prioritizes accessibility, ensuring that art events and exhibitions are inclusive and welcoming to individuals of all abilities, thereby broadening the reach and impact of the region’s artistic offerings.
NEOAT showcases and celebrates some of the richest arts and cultural communities in the state. The sweeping and diverse landscape of Eastern Oregon and the majestic peaks of the Wallowas & Elkhorns inspire artists and artisans from every corner of the world to capture, create, and preserve its history and wonder.
Each of these communities offers a unique experience of the Northeast Oregon Country, from music, theater, and art galleries to annual festivals and cultural celebrations. Mission
The Northeast Oregon Arts Trail is dedicated to fostering creativity and artistic engagement across Eastern Oregon. By connecting four unique art centers, our mission is to provide enriching experiences through diverse artistic expressions. We aim to inspire and engage visitors, offering opportunities for participation in art classes, workshops, exhibitions, and performances. Our goal is to enhance the cultural vibrancy of the region and support both emerging and established artists, creating a dynamic and accessible arts experience for all.
Vision
We envision the Northeast Oregon Arts Trail as an exciting journey through the artistic landscape of Eastern Oregon. Our goal is to highlight the diverse art experiences available along our trail, making them known and accessible to everyone in the region. By increasing awareness and inviting more people to explore and engage with our art centers, we aim to spark a broader appreciation for the arts and create a vibrant, connected community that celebrates creativity in all its forms.
